Corner Cuts

Walkthrough for Jeff. Everything on this page is sample data. Tap the buttons in “Your day” to see what happens.

How Corner Cuts will work.

Clients book on your site and save a card. You run the day from your phone. Texts and emails go out on their own, and no-shows get charged the way your policy says, after a warning, with you in control.

1Clients book on your site

They pick a cut

Your 21 services, grouped so a first-timer isn’t guessing. “Start here” shows your three featured cuts. Parents tap “For my kid.”

They pick a time

Only real openings show: your hours, your service lengths, a 2-hour minimum notice, and 4–5 AM slots close at 8 PM the night before.

They save a card

Apple Pay, Google Pay or a card, held by Stripe. They tick your cancellation policy with the exact dollar amount and deadline. First-timers on three services pay the deposit right there.

2What clients get

Marcus books a Thursday 5:00 AM skin fade with beard on Monday afternoon. Here’s his phone over the week. Nothing goes out before 8 AM or after 8 PM except replies to him.

  1. Right away Confirmation text and email, with the policy, the free-cancel deadline and a link to manage the appointment.
  2. About 48 hours before “Free cancel ends soon.” This is the warning your policy promises, sent while they can still change it free.
  3. Night before, 7 PM For 4–7 AM appointments. Later appointments get it about 2½ hours ahead. “Reply Y to confirm.”
  4. After the visit A receipt with the tip.
  5. Next day, by email Thanks plus a link to leave a Google review.

Clients choose texts or not when they book. Everyone gets email. Replying STOP turns texts off; the appointment stays.

What you’re seeing

Your Today screen. One card per client, in order. The next one up is open. Badges tell you what matters before they sit down: first visit, deposit paid, card on file, kid.

4The money

Cards live with Stripe

The card number goes from the client’s phone straight to Stripe. Your site and your app only ever see “Visa ending 4242.” Same company that runs payments for Amazon and Shopify.

Checkout is one tap

You tap Checkout, adjust for add-ons, and the tip screen goes to the client’s phone. One charge for service plus tip, receipt texted, and your screen says Paid. No card reader needed; one can be added later for a slightly lower fee.

No-shows: you decide, the system does the rest

Nothing is charged automatically. You tap No-show, the client gets a warning text and email, and the fee runs at 7 PM that day unless you waive it. The policy they ticked, with the time and amount, is saved as your evidence.

Fees and payouts

Stripe keeps 2.9% + 30¢ per charge (about $2.74 on an $84 ticket). The rest lands in your bank account on a 2-business-day cycle. The first payout on a new account takes 7–14 days.
