Who we are
Corner Cuts is a one-chair barbershop at 9910 Alt A1A #707, Suite #8, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410, operated by [legal business name coming soon]. This policy covers our website (cornercuts.si), the Corner Cuts app, online booking, and the texts and emails we send about appointments.
What we collect
- Your contact details: your name, mobile number and email address.
- Booking details: the services, dates and times you book, and your appointment history, including prices, tips, cancellations and no-shows. If you book for a child, their first name.
- Notes about your cut: anything you tell us when booking, and notes Jeff keeps so your next cut matches (for example guard numbers or fade height).
- Photos: only with your consent.
- Payment cards: handled by Stripe. Corner Cuts never sees or stores your full card number. Stripe gives us only what we need to run your account, such as the card brand and the last four digits.
- Your agreements: when you accept the cancellation policy or opt in to texts, we keep a record of what you agreed to and when.
- Basic technical data: like any website, our server receives your IP address and browser details when you visit. We don’t use advertising or analytics trackers.
Why we use it
- to book, confirm, change and remind you about appointments,
- to charge for services, tips, deposits and fees as described in our Terms and Cancellation & Refund Policy, and send receipts,
- to remember how you like your cut,
- to answer your questions, and
- to keep our records secure and meet legal and tax obligations.
We don’t sell your personal information.
Text messages
We only text you if you tick the optional box when you book. Texts cover booking confirmations, reminders, receipts and messages about your appointment. Message frequency varies (about 3–5 per booking), and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. See the SMS Terms and how text reminders work.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that send messages on our behalf.
Who processes your information
We share information only with service providers that help us run bookings, and only for that purpose:
- Stripe processes payments and stores your card (Stripe Privacy Policy).
- Twilio sends our text messages (Twilio Privacy Notice).
- An email delivery provider sends confirmations, reminders and receipts.
- Our web host runs the server the website and booking system live on.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights in a dispute about a charge.
None of this sharing includes your mobile number or your text opt-in data and consent, which go only to Twilio so it can deliver our texts.
How long we keep it
We keep your details and appointment history while you’re a client, so we can book you and remember your cut. If you ask us to delete your information, we’ll delete it, except records we have to keep for tax, accounting or legal reasons, or to resolve a dispute. Stripe and Twilio keep their own records under their own policies.
Your choices
- Texts: reply STOP to any of our texts to opt out. You’ll still get emails about your appointments.
- Your information: contact us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you.
- Your saved card: ask us to remove it when you have no upcoming appointment or unpaid fee.
Children
Jeff cuts kids’ hair, but a parent or guardian books appointments for kids 12 and under. We collect a child’s first name and appointment details only from their parent or guardian, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
Security
The website and booking run over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Card details go straight to Stripe and never touch our servers. Access to client records is limited to Corner Cuts and protected by sign-in.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date.
